What You'll Be Doing:

As a Remote Mechatronics Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing by supporting the sales team with technical translations and helping CPG manufacturers design their automation journeys.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Robotics Automation: Designing, implementing, and optimizing robotic automation systems that increase productivity and reduce operational costs.

PLC Programming: Developing and fine-tuning PLC programs to ensure seamless integration of machinery and controls in manufacturing processes.

Automation Project Design: Supporting customers on-site and providing equipment layouts, system and detail designs, motor and device lists, initial budgets, etc. before handing this to production and project delivery teams.

What We're Looking For:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in writing PLC programs.
  • Strong expertise in robotics automation.
  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing facility operations.
  • A passion for innovation and a drive to push the boundaries of what's possible.
  • Bachelor's (minimum) of Engineering (Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electric or Computer Science).
  • A coachable personality who continually embraces change and development.

In order to support customers successfully, you will be required to demonstrate competencies and experience with:

Manufacturing Facility Expertise: Leveraging your experience within a manufacturing organization (understanding manufacturing process flows) will support your suggestions to improve and streamline manufacturing facilities, making them safer and more efficient.

Remote Work and Business Travel: You will be required to travel up to 75% of the time (traveling to customers' sites 4 days a week) with the remainder being work from home/ remote office. Experience with this type of work lifestyle is highly advantageous.
